Rev. Matt Sapp
Pastor
Matt is a graduate of Mercer University as well as Mercer’s McAfee School of Theology. Matt grew up in both Atlanta and Richmond, Virginia. He is an avid Braves fan, enjoys writing, and has a twin brother who lives in Macon. Matt started his career in the ministry at Wieuca Road Baptist in Atlanta where he served as their Minister to Students and then Minister for Congregational Life. He comes to Central from Heritage Fellowship in Canton, Georgia, where he served as pastor.
Matt is married to Julie Sapp, a native of Waynesboro, GA and also a graduate of Mercer University. Matt and Julie have two sons, Hudson and Joey, and a daughter, Mary Jane.

Rev. Katie Faison
Associate Pastor for Congregational Life
Katie grew up in Newnan, Georgia. She has been a member of Central Baptist all of her life. She holds a Bachelors in Elementary Education from East Carolina University and a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry from McAfee School of Theology of Mercer University.
Katie is married to John Faison, who is a biology teacher at Woodward Academy in College Park, GA. Together they have two children, Emma Grace and Allie.

Dr. Ronnie Oliver, Jr.
Associate Pastor of Music and Worship
Dr. Ronnie Oliver, Jr. is our Associate Pastor of Music and Worship.
Prior to coming to Central, Dr. Oliver served churches in Texas, Kentucky, and New York. Ronnie, and his wife Ann, come to us from New York City where Ronnie served on the Conducting Faculty of the Manhattan School of Music and as the Artistic Director and Conductor of EnsembleNYC.
Dr. Oliver has also served as choral director and teacher of conducting at Westminster Choir College (Princeton, NJ), Western Michigan University, Western Kentucky University, Greensboro College (NC), and Texas Tech University.

Rev. Caroline Moore
Interim Pastor to Youth and Families
Rev. Caroline Moore is serving as our Interim Pastor to Youth and Families. Rev. Moore is a graduate of Mercer University’s McAfee School of Theology. Before coming to Central, she served as part of the ministry team at Smoke Rise Baptist Church in Atlanta and as the Minister to Youth at First Baptist Carrollton. She is married to her husband, Matthew. They have a cat, Luka. In her spare time, Caroline likes playing outside, playing board games, reading, and being with people.

Mrs. Amanda Willoughby
Children’s Ministry Director
Amanda grew up in Fayetteville, Georgia. She moved to Newnan 22 years ago. She is married to Wes Willoughby, and together they have six children: Wesley, Gavin, Lucas, Wyatt, Anna Leigh and Henry Walker. Amanda has been working at Central with our children since 2019 and is excited to take on her new role as Children’s Ministry Director. Amanda loves coffee and has her own embroidery business!

Mrs. Julia Huster
Pianist
Julia has served Central Baptist Church since 2016. Previously, she served at Peachtree City United Methodist; First Baptist, Newnan; The Hill Baptist, Augusta and First Methodist Church of Thomson, Georgia. In addition to her service in church music, she has taught students in piano and organ since 1983.
Julia received her Bachelor of Church Music/Organ degree from Wesleyan College, Macon, Georgia in 1989. While in Macon, she accompanied numerous voice recitals and interned at First Presbyterian and Mulberry Street United Methodist Churches.
A native of Augusta, Georgia, Julia is married to Steve Huster. They are parents to Laurel and Andy Clark and Rebecca Huster. The Husters enjoy good books, good food, and hiking with their dogs Rudy and Millie.

Mr. Henry Lee
Organist
Henry has served as organist at Central since May 2024. He was previously the Director of Music Ministry at West End Collegiate Church in NYC and the music teacher at Astoria Lutheran School in Queens. A creative musician, Henry has performed at various venues, ranging from Rockwood Music Hall (NYC) to the Cathedral of St. John the Divine (NYC). Born in Taiwan and raised in southern California, Henry holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political economy and music from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Music degree in organ performance from the Manhattan School of Music. Henry is married to Yen Yu Chen, who is a singer, conductor, and teacher of piano and voice. They have one son.
